The Beginning
Self-Improvement For Beginners

You're here because you want to start self-improvement as a beginner right? So before we begin I want to congratulate you for being here. You see, everyone wants to be better (someone's a nutcase if they don't), but not everyone actually tries.

So I congratulate you for actually taking action cause you're not normal (And I mean that as a compliment).

So let's get to it.

As the title insists this is the start, the start to something big. Mark this day in your calendar cause you're gonna wanna remember it.

But before we start with the 'how' we must start with the 'why'.

The Why

The 'why' is the reason to be doing all of this.

It will be a big driving force for you along your journey, use it to push you, to give you that motivation when you're lacking it.

  • Why do you want to be better?
  • Why do you want to get on self-improvement?

Answer these before carrying on.

Now your answer might be different from mine and that's okay but if I had to answer these questions I would say that we all start self-improvement cause we just want to be confident, well-functioning human beings

I would say that is one of the basic human desires, to be 'normal'. But ironically to be normal you have to be different, I hope you get what I'm saying.

Apart from this there's obviously the want for material things, money, status, a fit body etc. But those come later on, those are obviously nice but let's start by building a strong foundation.

Remember, No skyscraper was built on sand.

We must always keep our goal in mind becuase sometimes we get so lost in random tasks that we forget the goal altogether.

The How

We said we want to do better right? But how do you actually 'do better?'

It's kinda simple;

Well actually the answer is simplicity,

How to improve diagram

You see, way too many people complicate things, things are simple to do, they're steps, one after the other, too many people think that by complicating it they're doing something special but they're not.

You must take things one step at a time, each step of the way has it's own lesson to teach you.

I like to keep things simple, it's what I found works best.

So I'll share with you the explanation and then give you small actionable steps that you can do immediately after reading these pages.

I like to split self-help into 3 pillars;

The 3 Main Pillars

Along my journey I've noticed that self-help can be split into 3-4 pillars (The 4th being a special one), these being;

  • Mental
  • Social
  • Physical

And also..

  • Personal Experience/Life Lessons

On this site you're going to notice that I've layed out the pages like that. The titles are self-explanatory and are also explained in the 'Main' page for the pillar.

What is kinda different though is the 4th one.

I've decided to include this aswell as I think it's a special touch, it's a collection of the lessons learned through day-to-day life. I mentioned that the 4th one is special, it's special because it's unique to you, everyone's is different, no other person has gone through the same mix of experiences as you have.

These lessons might not fit directly into one section perfectly so I've made a section for them exclusively.

The Book Section

You will also find a dropdown menu specifically for books that have helped me along the way, this will have some information regarding the book and my honest review of it.

There will be one's that have left a bigger mark on me than they might on you, we are different people so if you see that a book hasn't impacted me don't take it for granted that it will do the same for you.

And on the contrary if you see that I've found a book to be extremely helpful don't blindfully expect that it will have the same effect on you.

Collect the necessary information about the book and what it offers and decide for yourself whether it would be of value if you read it,

THEN,

If you do buy it and read it make an unbiased conclusion to whether it helped you or not.

Not everyone's journey is the same so don't expect everything to align perfectly.
